The terms Living Will, Loving Trust, and Loving Will have been used (somewhat incorrectly) to describe legal documents used to direct physicians and care-givers with regard to use of the artificial means by which life-support may be maintained. Typically, a Living Will directs physicians to refrain from sustaining a person by artificial means if they are unlikely to recover from an extreme disability, injury, or condition.
